Juneau

Juneau is a small city of 30,000 in Southeast Alaska. In addition to unparalleled outdoor recreation Juneau boasts significant cultural and civic activities. As the State Capital, Juneau is the home to the Legislature for 5 months of the year. We have technical conferences, music festivals, Internet cafes, restaurants, a nationally recognized theatre company, an extensive public library system, three public boat harbors, a municipally owned ski area, a campus of the University of Alaska, and other amenities uncommon in a city of this size. Although geographically isolated, Juneau is technologically in touch, wired to the Internet through three fiber optic cables with cable modem and DSL services available.

Anchorage

With a population of over 275,000, Anchorage is Alaska's largest city with 42 percent of the state's population living here. Anchorage is a unique Alaska destination, embraced by six mountain ranges and warmed by a maritime climate. Anchorage is active year round with outdoor sporting activities, adventures, recreation, and seasonal festivities. There are approximately 100,000 glaciers in Alaska, 60 of which are within 50 miles of Anchorage.
